Everyone has seen the drastic decline in computer prices in the past seven to eight months. Small and large companies alike, with the thought that you and your friends are lower than ever prices and always discounts and incentives. You have to ask: Why is this happening?

Three years ago, some important person predicted the arrival of a hundred dollar computer; is this? No. With all the SEC lawsuits and investigations, are companies scared to make money and have now decided to lose money just to laugh? No. What we see, up to Q2 of 2006, a massive, industry-wide yard sale.

Fortunately, the yard sale is not full of crap. In many cases, you will find a big Computer and peripherals for about a third of their original prices. But there is a trap. As good as some of these things, there’s higher things on the way, and the yard sales of the company, to the spring cleaning. Retailers can not only see the new material next to old stuff on the shelves… to eat the cost of the smarter business for you

Major changes to the computer and to their physical courage has not yet been, for about five years. From 1993 to 1999, it truly was a frustrating matter, such as the bravery and the pin-change configurations, almost one out of every two months. Intel tried Intel tried that, RAM was this way, and then it was as well, and with the new team in 1995, has been seriously renovated in the year 1996.

In the year 2000, Intel, the increase of its power and the RAM sat down on the Pentium, only squatter in a standard that allows us to upgrade our 2000 computers even four years later, with little effort. This lack of change has helped us to forget the “old times.” Now, the revolution has come in fits and starts over again. RAM is changing physically, video cards are finally changing after almost a decade of processors.radiation in the physical space, and mathematically in the way that they calculate

Improvements of whatever is, wonderful computer you buy today, is for the favourable simply physically impossible. We are at the end of a long period. The birth of the next age, things have been pain traps and growth, but it is the NEXT PERIOD, without taking into account. If you buy now, prepare to be depressed, in March of 2006.

Intel makes a 64-bit processor yet; it holds the rupture in the test. Programs and software available with the 64-bit requirements. Cards AGP have been blocked, who can boast of having 8X speed, the Next Era prodigy, four times the bandwidth (much more potential), but is currently similar speeds, that is to say, ‘growing pains’, and today RAM cream crunchy when pushed to 1 GHz of speed, where the RAM is already prepared physically for the great heat-and the numbers of the speed. Finally, it was buy a Microsoft Windows disk?

At $400 a pop for the full version, which is almost the purchase of the half of the computer. Next to the Era of machines have built XP-successor to “View”. The Vista Version has a delay so, in order to allow the spring-cleaning. If you win, frustrated, and short, run and buy a new computer now. If you game, you are an advanced user and want to enjoy the full functionality and/or that a pet dinosaur take up to four cubic metres of space on the Desktop, they are super-advising duper good to keep calm and remain sitting until Q2 2006 for Microsoft’s View of the sources on the existence of the ad for the yard sale.

If you are like me, we have a great collection of music, gathered from many sources, then you are probably the same problems with the awful metadata that some tracks have.

Many of my tracks have weird or missing track details, errors and for some tracks that have no ID3 tags for the artist and the album. I also have many duplicates that happens has been importing the same CD twice, or if I have added the friends of the collection to me, and they have the same range, but with a slightly different name, so that it slipped through the net.

From my collection will continue to grow, and I’m always able to access my library on other Computers, devices and my Xbox via Xbox Media Center, I decided it was time to sort things before you get to an impossible task.

Below are the steps that I went through, that I now with all the new topics, before the “my library”.

Step 1-Tagging

Even if the tracks are imported from the ID3 were directly from the CD tags can still contain errors, especially if you are importing old CDs or non-mainstream Cds. To fix the best tool that I found, tags, MusicBrainz’s Tagger http://musicbrainz.org/tagger/index.html. This great tool scans your music files and write clean metadata tags (ID3 tags or Vorbis comment fields) to your files.

For files that are not known from MusicBrainz, and MB acoustic finger sends the fingerprints (v panther, most noticeably ids) of your files back to the server and asks the user to manually edit the track information, so that the next time someone uses the tool to identify these tracks.

MusicBrainz allows you to set the threshold at which it is thought that it is a game. For my collection, I have found that very few errors were made with a threshold of 80% and I was able to automatically update the tags on around 50% of my 8,000 track-collection in this way.

For the other 50%, MetaBrainz Tagger still a good guess that the correct labels. In some cases, I was able to accept, the MB is on the rise, but in other cases, I had to use the tools to find the in MB all the right details. This lasted a long time, but it was well worth the effort as MB has helped me to identify a lot of unknown tracks and artists. The ordering of the album turned out to be the quickest way to my tracks, after I confirmed what appeared in the album of a track, you could immediately rule, the process for a period of 10 tracks of the same album.

Step 2 – Re-import to iTunes

(a) iTunes unfortunately manages its own tag database so that now to record the new information. This can be fixed:

– highlight all tracks in the library, right-click and select “Get Information”.”

– Then, click “ok” (make SURE NOT to CHECK the FIELDS OR YOU will LOSE THE VALUE FOR EVERY FILE).

After having done this, the files are all processed and the tag changes are picked up, and your playcounts and playback lists are the same.

(b) I had some problems with the above-mentioned method, like iTunes, that seemed a little confused and not finding it, that goes to the tracks, so what should I do at the end was, in my iTunes folder, delete the iTunes library files and re-import my music folder, which picked up all the new tag information.

WARNING: THIS WILL CLEAR ALL THE PLAY COUNTS AND PLAYLISTS

Step 3 – Remove Duplicates

Once you have cleaned up tags removing duplicates becomes much easier. iTunes has a “Show Duplicate Songs” command in the edit menu. Corresponds to the track name, you should be fine if you cleaned up your tags. Once this is done, it is just a case of working through the list and removing duplicates.

Step 4 – Add Album

iTunes will not automatically add the artwork from Cds. The iTunes Art Importer http://www.yvg.com/itunesartimporter.shtml solves this problem by adding album images from Amazon Cd – very smart.

It is taken a couple of nights to do all of this, however, has been worth the effort, as it is now, at least I find tracks that I want to listen to, and I know now that I’m listening to!
